Dirt Alliance is one of the best-known groups in the off-road world. Over the years they have produced many popular pre-running and racing videos on YouTube. Just recently they went to the Pomona Off-Road Expo and got some pretty cool footage from it. If you didn’t already know, an off-road expo is like the SEMA event, but smaller and only off-road toys are allowed.
What’s so cool about the Off-Road Expo compared to other expos is the area where trucks can race around. In the middle of this area is a decent sized dirt jump allowing drivers to show off the suspension travel of their vehicle. Surrounding the jump is asphalt where the trucks on road handling can be put to the test.
The vehicles that drove on this little short course range from ProLite short-course trucks, insane prerunners, Class 1 buggies, and 1400 race trucks. Some of the runs multiple different kinds of vehicles were sort of racing around the course. For the most, however, it was all for show and making sure the crowd had a good time. One of the 1400 trucks that were out on the course ended up bumping into the K-rail surrounding the course and broke his fiberglass bedside.
When a random person attending the expo was asked: “what do you think about the expo?” He replied, “I love the expo. This is our peeps. The off-road expo is dirt, big jumps, and this is what we do.” If you’ve never been to a Lucas Oil Offroad Expo before, we highly recommend attending one some time.
