Toyota loyalists and truck enthusiasts worldwide have been eagerly anticipating a new Tacoma model for at least a decade. The auto manufacturer has been tight-lipped about details of the upcoming 2024 Toyota Tacoma, until just recently.
Just days ago, Toyota posted to social media with what appears to be a current-generation Tacoma and the caption; Patented good looks… 😎 #Tacoma #LetsGoPlaces. Upon closer inspection, there appear to be at least three easter eggs contained within the image. The most obvious is the license plate on the vehicle is coded 040423, which obviously reads 04/04/23. No, we are not talking about April Fool’s day. This would be a reference to Taco Tuesday and perhaps a hint at a future 2024 Toyota Tacoma reveal. But, that is not all.
This post follows another from last week that presents a darkened truck silhouette against a sunsetting wilderness background. Off Road Xtreme believes this is a sign of something coming over the horizon, perhaps the actual 2024 Toyota Tacoma based on the shape. We base that opinion on and compare it to the images of a new incoming truck model leaked from the Brazilian Patent office, which Toyota had filed back in June of 2022.
Wait, what! Brazil, leaked images, Patent Office, Patented good looks… This is wild! The latest post with the easter eggs poses a Tacoma in front of a brick building that says Brazilian Patent Office. This is where things get really interesting. The latest post also presents a blurred-out vehicle in the background. We can assume this is the 2024 Toyota Tacoma based on that vehicle’s styling subject matter.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Leaked Out And The Hype Is Real
This is where the enthusiast hype takes over and we believe the hype is real and fairly grounded. The Toyota loyalists are fairly accurate with their Toyota Tacoma predictions for several reasons. For one, we have the Brazilian Patent 2024 Toyota truck leaked images. Fans are using those images to model fantastic digital renderings and implementing hints of the 2022 Tundra styling ques and official Toyota color options.
Just like when the upcoming 2022 Toyota Tundra image was leaked, and the fans went wild with digital renderings, we are seeing enthusiastic hype on the 2024 Tacoma. The hype is real and based on real-world evidence. The cats on Tacoma4g.com seem to be informed with realistic perceptions and intel. The online sleuths are sourcing key details and assembling their findings in several articles dating back to October of 2021.
Here is a link to the thread where we found what a 2024 Toyota Tacoma in the TRD Pro trim could look like.
In this Motor1.com article, they throw up a 30th Anniversary special edition concept rendering. I could dig it!
More Leads On The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Appearance
During a 2021 media briefing on Toyota’s future vision of mobility, a new model Toyota Tacoma was included as part of a future fifteen all-electric vehicle lineup. Although few details were disclosed on the Tacoma EV, the images of this truck are revealing on what a future model Tacoma potentially has in store.
Toyota executives have also signaled in the past that they intend to occupy the mid-size truck market with no intentions to increase the Tacoma platform footprint. With this information in their pocket, Tacoma4g.com enthusiasts again went to the drawing board. They cleverly came up with a comparative benchmark of the current-generation Tacoma to the leaked images.
2024 Toyota Tacoma Gets A Legendary Inheritance
We already know that the 2024 Tacoma will be based on Toyota’s New Global Architecture-F (TNGA-F) program. We verified this last year with Jay Sackett, Executive Program Manager at Toyota Technical Center during our 2022 Toyota Tundra National Press Preview experience. He did confirm that the new Global Truck Platform will also be the bones for future Tacoma, 4Runner, and Sequoia models.
I will also note that this is particularly exciting because we later learned the Toyota Global Truck Platform is 100% designed around the new 300 Series 2022 Land Cruiser. Frame, chassis, and all of the legendary Land Cruiser off-road technology will be inherited by the 2024 Toyota Tacoma!
Tacoma4g.com detectives have observed the 2024 Tacoma mule does indeed share common componentry with a 2022 Tundra. Off Road Xtreme applauds all of the Toyota super fans. We share the same enthusiasm and are anticipating another great Toyota truck that will last for years to come.
