When the time comes to replace headlights on a truck, it helps to have the right parts for the job. These particular headlights feature a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) halo light surrounding a projector bulb. These features combine for a more effective brightness that helps with night driving, as well as offering a distinctive appearance.

Tools required include a socket wrench and extension, a 10mm socket, a flathead screwdriver, and electrical tape for the wiring. The installation starts by removing the stock headlights.

Starting with the battery, go ahead and remove the negative battery terminal. This helps prevent an accidental electrical discharge during the installation. Next, locate the dust cover and remove the push pins holding the cover to the frame. At this point, there are three 10mm screws holding in the headlight that need to come out: one is behind the dust cover; the second is between the corner light and the bumper; and the third is on the bottom side of the headlight.

With these screws removed, the headlight can be gently pulled out of place to access the bulbs. These need to be twisted and pulled out of the headlight housing. Once they’re out, the headlight housing is completely removed.

Once the stock bulbs are removed from the housing, the stock headlight housing comes out of the truck.

Next, plug the provided two-into-one harness into the new headlight, and connect the high- and low-beam plugs. Locate the blue and red wires and connect them together; do the same on the black wires, too. The blue and red wires get spliced into the brown wire on the parking light socket, while the black wire splices into the black wire on the same socket.

Now, the headlight harness plugs into the factory headlight plug. The factory signal bulb installs into AnzoUSA’s housing in the same spot as it was on the factory housing. From here, it’s a simple process of reversing the previous steps to install the AnzoUSA headlight. You’ll just need to do the same procedure on the opposite headlight, reconnect the negative battery terminal, and the lights should turn on.

Once the lights demonstrate proper working order, they’ll need to be calibrated. Aiming the truck squarely at a wall, you might notice some slight misalignment in the beam patterns. These can be adjusted with alignment screws located on the housings, and once you have them properly aligned, you’re all set.
