Lamborghini, rather obviously, doesn’t design their vehicles for off-road use. Their cars like the Aventador and Huracan are designed for road/track use. On the complete opposite end of the automotive spectrum, we have off-road race trucks. These are designed to go as fast as possible on the dirt, and on-road handling isn’t even a consideration.
Given that Lamborghinis and race trucks are polar opposites, why not bring them together for a drag race? Thanks to the Driving Line YouTube channel, were able to see exactly what would happen when they’re brought together.
The Lamborghini of choice is owned by Samuel Hübinette, a two time Formula Drift champion. This Huracán LP 580-2 equipped with Nitto NT01 tires, a Novara body kit, a hydraulic handbrake, and a VF Supercharger kit. With that supercharger kit, the Lamborghini makes around 800 horsepower.
The Unlimited Class Ultra4 truck is driven by Jason Blanton and is equipped with a Dart 572ci big block and 40-inch Nitto tires. The engine is essentially a NASCAR engine and outputs around 900 horsepower.
Both of these vehicles are very high horsepower, but with the Ultra4 truck weighing around 5,000lbs, the weight advantage goes to the Lamborghini. The Ultra4 truck, however, can put the power down through all four wheels unlike the two-wheel drive Lamborghini. “I think with the all-wheel drive and the horsepower, we might take you for the first hundred feet. I don’t know, we’ll see,” said Jason. Be sure to check the video out below to see all the awesome action!
