This video features some of the top off-road racers taking a trip down to Baja and being able to actually take in everything that it has to offer. Larry and Chad Ragland, Steve and Bryce Menzies, and Randy and RJ Anderson decided to take a father-and-son vacation to the place they all love to race. With prerunning down in Baja taking up most of these racers’ times, this occasion was all about being able to explore and take in the scenery.
The first day of the expedition lead all teams to the the beach, where they were able to drive their Polaris RZR’s out next to the water. RJ Anderson said, “Driving a RZR on the beach is so fun. It is something that you are not able to experience at home.”
El Coyote Ranch sits right on the course for the Baja 1000 and since Chad Ragland has discovered it, he has never missed a chance to stay here. The Ranch was a stop on their exploration of Baja.
Everyone on the trip agrees, that it is not all about racing. Off-roading is about the people, friends and family that you get to enjoy the time with. Racing and competition aside, everyone down on this trip cherished the time with one another.
The RZR takes all the rocky trails, dirt and dust that Baja with ease. These are very capable off-road rigs and as Larry Ragland put it, they have “fun per dollar.” RZRs are something that more people can afford and go have fun off-roading.
The group also took a stop at Mission San Borja, which is one of the oldest missions in Baja. The trail and access to get to the mission was easy with their Polaris RZR. The RZR is a low maintenance vehicle that these drivers of 900+ horsepower trucks can still appreciate and have plenty of fun in.
The last stop of this trip was the Bay of La (Bahia de los Angeles). None of them wanted the trip to end; not because of the racing and off-roading, but because of the memories they were making with each other, especially their fathers. It is something that every one of them enjoyed and will treasure forever.
