From February 21 through 23, 2014, the town of Mesquite, Nevada, will transform into off-road heaven because the 2014 Mesquite Off Road Weekend Festival will be taking place. The event is the brainchild of Nitro Circus’ Gregg Godfrey and Bryan Green, and it’s unlike any other off-road event in the world.
The weekend will have endurocross style races with not only motocross bikes racing, but ATVs, UTVs and trials bikes as well. Some of the best will compete in these events, not just from the USA, but from all over the world. The little guy and the weekend warrior will race, as all event is open to anyone.
Not only will be racing be on the schedule, but 13-time Dew Tour FMX Champion “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram and his Steel Rodeo will be performing a death defying FMX show. The FMX show will be apart of Nitro Circus’ Beyond Pro Race which will be unlike anything you have ever seen.
The race will have the FMX riders, endurocross, UTV, ATV and Trials on the track simultaneously. It’s the only event in the world like this. The Steel Rodeo crew will also compete in an FMX contest event for a chance to win a $20,000 purse.
For those who enjoy playing in the mud, mud bogs will take place too. Several different classes such as Superstock, Pro Stock, Mud Mod, Outlaw and Pro Mud will have the chance to compete for a $5,000 Purse.
The racing will take place on a 100-acre track adjacent to the Eureka Casino Resort. Spectators will have the chance to enjoy the Adventure Park which will have a zip line, paint ball and plenty of vendors. General Admission is $30 ($20 for kids 4-12, 3 and under are free).
