2022 Nissan Frontier: Here’s What You Need To Know

As part of the Nissan NEXT Transformation plan, the Japanese automaker is re-imagining its product portfolio to meet the company’s new vision. The automaker recently revealed the all-new 2022 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, which sports many styling elements that have been inspired by the original Nissan hardbody.

A 2007 Nissan Frontier became the latest edition to the million-mile club earlier last year, which is a testament to the nameplate’s durability and reliability. According to Nissan, the next-generation Frontier builds on the very same qualities and is a well-engineered product.

2022 Nissan Frontier Specifications:

  • 3.8-liter Direct Injection V6
  • Best-in-Class 310 horsepower
  • 281 lb-ft of maximum torque
  • 9-speed automatic transmission
  • Hydraulic Rack and pinion steering

The overall styling of the 2022 Frontier is much more aggressive than the outgoing model. The highlight of the front-end is the company’s warrior-style grille, which sits underneath a muscular hood. The C-shaped headlight cluster features LED DRLs, and the taillights also get the LED treatment. Nissan is also offering several new bold color choices for the 2022 Frontier.

The truck featured in the video flaunts a Bold Grey Pearl paint job, and the Nissan badge now sports a vibrant red finish. The contrasting red accents are also found inside the cabin, which now gets a host of new creature comforts. The 2022 Frontier model is now available with a largest-in-segment 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display, which comes equipped with Apple CarPlay as standard.

2022 Nissan Frontier Safety features:

  • Nissan Safety Shield 360
  • Rear automatic braking feature is available across all trim levels
  • Eight airbags

The driver will also have a 7-inch driver assist display at his/her disposal, which is offered as standard and also happens to be the largest-in-class. The automaker offers an onboard WiFi network and wireless smartphone charging feature as optional extras. Customers will now get Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats as standard in the next-generation Frontier, which will go on sale later this summer.
