By any measure, Forrest Lucas is an extraordinary presence in American entrepreneurial success stories. At the age of 21 he was an owner operator, long haul trucker with growing maintenance problems. By the time he was 40, Forrest had retired from driving and was managing his small fleet, but his maintenance problems continued.

To save his business, Forrest took the extraordinary step of researching and testing his own lubricants resulting in his first product, ‘Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer’ for engines and gearboxes. A little over 25 years later, Lucas Oil Products, Inc. is the world leader of high performance Lubricants and problem solving additives and produces and markets more than 272 unique formulations in more than 34 countries around the world.

In the early 1990’s, Forrest started looking for a marketing plan–one that he and his wife Charlotte could afford and one they could relate to. They picked motor racing. “We got into the entertainment business to sell oil,” said Forrest. “And nothing is more entertaining than fast cars, trucks, planes and boats.”

Today Lucas Oil is a motor racing juggernaut that sponsors more than 500 race teams and drivers, plus owns/produces, and sanctions such series and events as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (since 2002), Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League (since 2004), Lucas Oil Modified Series (since 2006) and the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series (since 2009), plus the enormously popular Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (since 2009).

Lucas Oil uses its involvement in racing to research and develop its products while generating sales through all the major retail automotive chains, truck stops and independent speed shops across the USA. To expand national and international coverage, Lucas Oil opened its own television production studios in 2006 at its Sheridan Street headquarters in Corona, California. In 2014 Lucas Oil Production Studios will produce more than 400 hours of HD television for CBS, CBS Sports, NBC, NBC Sports and the Lucas owned cable network, MAVTV.
