Since Ram became its own brand, they have been working hard to improve their quality and durability. Well, Ram has decided now to bring the “show to the go” with their upcoming debut at the Chicago Auto Show. Ram will be debuting a “whole new” truck with an increasing number of interior and exterior modifications taking this vehicle to a whole new level dubbed the Laramie Limited model. So, what makes this Ram the show that goes with the go and all of the “best of” designations that it has been given?
Exterior
This Ram has been dressed up and ready for the uppity of parties. This truck puts the “little black dress” to shame for a night out on the town with the combination of uptown styling, downtown technology and gangster cool ride and design. Immediately, upon looking at the truck you are hit with the new billet port grille with the bold RAM lettering. But, they couldn’t just stop with the grille in the front, that would be too subdued for the exterior improvements. They also added a body color front fascia with fog lamps with a chrome front and rear bumper. They completely redesigned the headlights and side-markers with amber LEDs too.Even the Ram shield logo has been molded into the housing and inside of the outer lens.
Moving to the side there are chrome accents everywhere with “Limited” etched into many of them. But what good would the dressing be if it was wearing ugly shoes. Ram thought this through and the Laramie Limited is rocking 20 inch forged multi-surface polished aluminum six-spoke wheels with a custom Ram badge. Bringing up the rear is the new tailgate design. If the person behind you wasn’t sure what you were driving, the bold RAM lettering will certainly put to rest any uncertainty. The tailgate also features new chrome accent strips line the base of the gate along with updated LED tail lights. This new model is available in a variety of colors.
Interior
This truck has so much more to offer than just looking hot. It comes fully loaded beyond compare on the interior. Once you glance inside you are instantly drawn to the all-black premium leather cockpit with unique pinstripe stitching. Unique features like a rear flap-closure map packet with modern chrome Ram lettered buckles were also added. Even the center console has been brought up to the lap of luxury complete with double stacked french stitched full leather lid and limited badge covering the USB, Auxillary and 12-volt service points. A new bin was added to this plush interior in front of the console to house a cell phone and tablet holder concealed with a tambour wood sliding door. The theme of everything in the cab is leather, leather and more leather at the highest of qualities. The gauges had a lot to live up to with this high end interior so, what better what them to make them diam knurled. The gauges are graphite-faced surrounded with diamond knurled liquid chrome rings styled from some of the most exclusive high end watch designs.
Even with all of this pizzazz the functionality was not left behind as the new Ram features the next gen 8.4 inch Uconnect system with standard navigation shown through digital background screens and tailor made at the highest level of trim. Add in features like remote LED lighting throughout the inside, premium leather door panels and premium Berber carpet throughout makes this one dressed up truck.
There are a few more features we haven’t mentioned such as: air suspension, wheel to wheel side steps, remote start, backup camera, power adjustable pedals, heated steering wheel, front ventilated and heated seats, heated rear seats and a RamBox in the bed.
