A Detail Study – On day 2 of our adventures at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds, things really heated up, literally and figuratively. This was peak day for 4-Wheel Jamboree, Indianapolis with the entirety of the fairgrounds packed to the brim. Trucks piled in from all across the midwest touting their “slightly altered” aesthetics.
For day 2, I wanted to challenge my run-n-gun Vlog skills so I set out with my 50mm lens and set out to do what it does best, showcase the details. The intimate focal length really adds an artistic flare to your shot. I realized that with a fixed lens I’d be challenged in the tightly packed thoroughfare. But, it was a great chance for me think on the fly, and to document such a brimming event by focusing in on the subtleties of these builds.
As I write this, we’re are at the height of Day 3. Readers can expect some highlights from today’s go-out-with-a-bang festivities. I intend to switch back to my walk around lens and do my best to capture the finalities of what has been such an amazing weekend in the heartland of America.
I’ve felt nothing but hospitality and good cheer all weekend and I want to thank the locals, our friends in the industry, and the participants who have shared this weekend with us.
