Mountain Off Road Enterprises (M.O.R.E.) is now offering its famous Hide-A-Step for GM and Ford pickup trucks–specifically, your 1999-current Super Duty 3/4-tons and Excursions, and 1999-2013 1/4-ton and 1/2-ton GMC and Chevy trucks. In addition, JK Wrangler owners can now buy a new mounting bracket for their ARB dual compressors.
So let’s take a look at the Hide-A-Steps. If you want to have your pickup lifted in the near future, or have already done so, the investment in these products is one that you should consider.
First off, there’s the dimpled design of the step. Cody Hancock, a technician for the company, explained that the reason for this was to minimize buildup of ice and mud that would otherwise send you falling on your rump.
Next, you’ve got class-4 zinc plating to prevent rust from eating away at the step. Finally, these steps are rated to handle up to 300 pounds, meaning it can handle both you and a good chunk of additional weight when you need to haul something down from the bed, be it the cooler of beer you had packed for the tailgate, or that box of belongings for move-in day.
In addition to this step, M.O.R.E. gave us a look at the new mounting bracket for the popular ARB CKMTA12 Twin Motor/Dual Cylinder On-Board Air Compressor. This bracket will provide a snug fit for your compressor, while still leaving space open for a M.O.R.E. battery tray. So great was this product that SEMA gave it the 2013 Global Summit Award. How do you like them apples?
