The annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show was in full swing, and every year, it’s the place to go to see hot new vehicles and products, both O.E. and aftermarket. Chrysler was on hand again to expose a few of its new products and vehicles, both for market and concept.
Among the 20 or so customized vehicles, Chrysler showed off the Ram Sun Chaser. Painted in a two-tone scheme with “Vibrance Orange Blast” and “Brilliant Black,” the Sun Chaser definitely stood out. Mopar showed off a concept roof rack dubbed the “surf rack,” along with adjustable support rails mounted on tracks in the bed.
There were also hooks built onto the side rails for additional surfboard storage. With the intended beach use, the water tank built into the exclusive RamBox bed-side storage makes for easy salt water and seaweed clean off. The tailgate was also decked out with a concept fold-up seatback for tailgating or getting your surf gear on.
The Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver was also sitting in the booth at the 2013 SEMA show. Utilizing the Trailhawk 4×4 package as a base, the Trail Carver was accented with “Auburn Pearl” paint with low-gloss black and “Granite Crystal” trimmings. The unique Trailhawk hood and roof map-styled graphics were bordered with “Crush Orange,” with some orange tow hooks to top it off. A concept roof basket design sat up top as well.
The Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver accented the brand-spanking new 2014 Cherokee with various trimmings and off-road improvements.
These vehicles were just a sampling of what Chrysler have to offer at the SEMA Show. Mopar was also showing off its portfolio of more than 500,000 parts and accessories. Hot items like crate Dana 44 differentials filled with 4.10 gears and an electric locker that will bolt into any 2007-2014 JK Wrangler could be found on the show floor.
Stay tuned as we bring you all the greatest from the automotive industry’s biggest show of the year!
