Such is the case for our 2017 Ford CCSB mid-ship tank (PN 7020217) from Titan. This is one of the company’s newest products, and shows a commitment to keep next-gen Super Duty owners driving further down the road. We reached out to Mike DeFord for more information on this tank.

At 55 gallons, the Titan tank can greatly maximize the range capability of a 2017 Super Duty.

Titan Fuel Tanks offers a 55-gallon tank allowing truck owners a greater fuel range. “Our tank fits the shortbed version of the Super Duties,” said DeFord. “At most, we can add up to 20 gallons of additional fuel to your F-250 or F-350.”

And it’s worth noting that while this product was highly anticipated, it was not rushed into production. “Development on this tank was the longest we’ve ever done,” said DeFord. “And it’s paid off big time. We’ve been getting so many orders that we’ve gotten a second mold to keep with production!”

Some features of the tank are its sixth-generation sending unit mounting system and cross-linked polymer construction. The mounting system is helpful for installations, as it abandons the bulky ones of previous models, and shaves off up to an hour of install time.

The cross-linked polymer is a staple of Titan’s approach. “It consists of a polymer with strands interlaid between one another, similar to carbon fiber,” explained DeFord. “It’s very tough and is the main reason we’re able to offer a lifetime warranty.”
