What does this mean for the winner? Loren is giving one lucky winner the chance to Ride Shotgun with him at the King of the Hammers. The winner will get to travel to Hammertown and receive press passes to meet him and his team, and suit-up to ‘ride shotgun’ on the King of the Hammers qualifying run.

Never been to King of the Hammers before? No problem, Loren has won the race twice and will make sure you know what to expect. “King of the Hammers is like the Burning Man for gear heads,” Loren explained. “It can be overwhelming to people new to the lake bed as it goes from an area that there is no one to a place with tens of thousands of people.”

The final winners will be announced at the 2019 SEMA Show in Las Vegas on November 5. One lucky winner will be selected for each unique Ride Shotgun experience and get to join Loren at SEMA.

“Winning King of the Hammers will always be a moment in my life that I will never forget,” Loren said. “The first time I won I went in as a novice not knowing what to expect, and have grown with the help of many great partners. King of the Hammers is like nothing else. The companionship with the other drivers is great, at the end of the day we will be around the same fire at night out at King of the Hammers.”

The winner of the Ride Shotgun program with Loren will be in for a treat and in one of the Top 5 fastest Ultra4 cars. “Getting in the car first time we will be going over a lot of the safety equipment like the seat belts, radio, and GPS,” Loren explained. “The winner is basically my co-driver for the time. It will be rough even with the larger shocks we have on the vehicle it will still be an unforgettable experience especially for someone who has never been in an off-road car before.”

Having a battery that will not leave you stranded in sticky situations is important in a race like King of the Hammers. “OPTIMA has been a huge help to my program,” Loren continued. “There is no better torture test than King of the Hammers where we put large draws on the batteries while winching, with no alternator and the extreme temperatures.”
