Toyo Tires is making waves with its latest product launch. The tire is the brand-new A/T III, succeeding the ever-popular A/T II and continuing the company’s legacy of producing top-tier tires for off-road, street truck/SUV, and crossover applications.
The press release goes into some more detail about the features and benefits of the A/T III. The first is that the tire carries a Three Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol, making it ideal for use in severe winter weather. Other features include tread design, construction, and all-new compounding. These offer noticeable improvements in wet and dry conditions. The tread life is also noteworthy, as the tire comes backed with a 65,000-mile warranty for P and Euro-Metric sizes, and a 50,000-mile warranty for LT and flotation sizes.
The tread itself carries over similar elements from the A/T II, offering excellent off-road grip, evenly distributed voids, cut and chip resistance, and staggered shoulder lugs to enhance off-road traction. This will come in handy for off-roaders that see multiple terrain types.
“The new Toyo Open Country A/T III is built to be tough,” said Conrad Galamgam, senior director of product planning and technical services at Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Its durable construction is designed to get drivers to their destination, whether that’s a quiet weekend in the wilderness or their drive to work in tough winter weather, and back home again.”
The tire is slated to have 127 distinct sizes, with 70 of those available now. The remaining 57 rolling out over the next several weeks. Which size do you think you’ll be getting for your rig? Let us know in the comments below, and be on the lookout for our official Off Road Xtreme tire review soon!
