Trans Dapt Performance Products manufactures a proven V8 engine swap crossmember kit for the 1987-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ. This easy to use kit is a true bolt-in, no-welding required design, that allows the YJ to easily accommodate a variety of Chevrolet small block and big block V8 engines as well as the Chevy 4.3L V6.

The Jeep YJ, better known as the Jeep Wrangler in the United States, replaced the much-loved and iconic Jeep CJ. While the YJ’s off-road prowess was true to its Jeep heritage, neither the 2.5L inline four cylinder or available 4.2L or 4.0L I6 engine options were very powerful. With Trans Dapt’s V8/YJ Engine Swap Crossmember Kits, enthusiasts can easily install a significantly more powerful engine into their YJ, giving them a power plant that can keep up with the nearly limitless capabilities of the platform.

Trans Dapt’s Jeep YJ Engine Swap Crossmember Kits include a complete set of motor mounts, a sturdy crossmember and installation hardware. The simple, “bolt to frame” design easily installs without welding, and they are compatible with most Chevrolet small block (not including the LT1 or LS-series) and big block V8 engines as well as GM’s popular 4.3L V6.

Trans Dapt’s Jeep YJ/V8 Engine Swap Crossmember Kits are available with three different motor mount pad options – rubber pads (Part Number 4566), with polyurethane pads (Part Number 4556), or without any pads (Part Number 4546).
