ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to release a lineup of 4.5” Suspension Systems for 2014-UP RAM 2500 4WD trucks. After completing an in-depth analysis of the RAM’s new radius arm front, coil sprung multi-link rear suspension configuration, ICON engineers set out to design components that not only lift the vehicle, but drastically increase overall ride quality and performance. The result of this engineering process is a selection of several staged systems that provide unique levels of performance suitable for anything from a daily driver to a purpose-built off-road chase truck.

These ICON suspension systems are made up of high quality components that have been designed with strength, aesthetics, and a precise fit in mind. 4.5” dual-rate coil springs are engineered to deliver a smooth ride on-road and over smaller terrain with a reduction in spring rate over stock, yet are able to properly control the handling of the vehicle over larger obstacles when the secondary rate is engaged. The ICON-engineered coil springs are also driver and passenger side specific to reduce the coil bowing common with the Ram’s coil seat design. High-strength laser cut ¼” steel radius arm drop brackets include a cradle that utilizes the OE transmission crossmember for added strength, and do not require welding or major modification to the frame like other kits on the market. Billet aluminum spacers retain the stout factory front bump stops, providing strength and durability after ICON’s research and development program made it clear that an extended urethane replacement could not hold up to significant abuse. Additional components include front sway bar drops, extended sway bar links, brake line relocation tabs, rear coil spacers, and all other bracketry and hardware necessary for a complete install.

ICON’s 2014-UP RAM 2500 4.5” suspension systems are available in stages that include varying combinations of shocks, springs, and additional components. The introductory Stage 1 system includes vehicle-specific ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks and is a great setup for street, towing, and light off-road use. Moving up to a Stage 4 setup includes more robust components such as 2.5 Series remote reservoir shocks, CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve technology, adjustable front and rear track bars, and a 2.0 Aluminum Series steering stabilizer – making for a huge upgrade to the on and off-road handling of the RAM 2500. Each stage provides 4.5” of lift height, which is adequate for the fitment of wheel and tire combinations up to 37”.
