The Easter bunny may not be here yet, but for some it is here in another way. March 19th to 27th, Jeepers from near and far head out to Moab, Utah for the 50th anniversary of the Easter Jeep Safari (EJS) hosted by Red Rock 4-Wheelers.
EJS is an event that runs for nine days and off-roaders can hit any amount of the 38 trails. The trails range from beginner to extreme and every day has something special to offer.
The club will put on trail rides at an average of nine different trails a day, but people can head out on their own, with a group preferably, to any of the trails that are not being used by the club for the day.
This year’s event is sold out, but one nice thing they did this year was offer more packages for different types of off-road capabilities – Freshman, Sophomore, and new this year Junior.
Each package will go on trails rated for the drivers experience. The club does not see a Senior package as after three years they feel that you should be able to pick your own trails.
The city of Moab is a great host to an event like this. Trails are designated a certain area of the town each morning to gather the troops before heading out to the trail.
Heading out to Moab this year, be sure to share your pictures and stories with us. What is your favorite trail? Tell us in the comments below!
