The Ford Raptor has been a popular choice for many off-road enthusiasts over the last few years. MegaRexx Trucks looked at this popular platform and tried to figure out how to engage it with more enthusiasts. For diesel-powered enthusiasts, you’re in luck. MegaRexx has been turning F-250 Super Duty trucks into “MegaRaptors”.
Although they come out of the box like a normal F-250, MegaRexx knows now what is necessary to create an eye-catching machine. Their latest build, however, pushes the envelope, even more, when they added a wild, matte-finish camouflage to the body, rock rings, and bumper trim plates. Under the hoods of these ’22 Lariat F-250s are the beastly 6.7-liter Power Stroke engine cranking out 475-horsepower and a staggering 1,050-lb/ft of torque.
The MegaRaptor rides high and wide courtesy of a BDS Suspension six-inch lift kit, Bilstein shocks on all four corners, MegaRexx radius arms by PMF, and Icon adjustable track bar and steering stabilizers. For obvious reasons, the MegaRaptor trucks are built to tackle any terrain. What do we mean by that? Where do we begin?
Specifically, this one-of-a-kind build is equipped with MegaRexx’s high-approach angle Smasher front bumper with seven LED off-road lights, 20-inch LED lightbar in the grille, a trophy-truck inspired bed cage with six additional seven inch round LED lamps, and two ten-inch, side-facing LED light bars, and lastly, their High And Tight rear bumper stacked with LED’s also.
Moving on to what it rides on, this MegaRaptor features 46-inch Michelin XZL tires and a set of three-piece, 20-inch MRAP wheels. The wheels are outfitted with custom rock rings for more protection, and the tires are large in diameter to help prevent them from potentially sinking into softer terrain. MegaRexx’s proprietary, computer-aided design body modifications allow the use of larger tires with little suspension lift, which results in a lower center of gravity. This truck has been regarded to 4:88 to accommodate the add-ons.
“Megaraptors are truly unique vehicles. Even base conversion models make a statement; but with each owner adding his own options, no two are ever alike”.-Aaron Richardet, Owner of MegaRexx.
The cool thing about MegaRexx’s truck builds is that no one is the same. When you put your order in, the options are endless. The builds start with the base conversion. After that, let your imagination run. Push bumpers, pre-runner style bumpers, deer guards, electric steps from Amp Research, spare tire carriers, front and/or rear winch, high-end EBC brakes, custom exhaust, off-road lights, and much, much more.
