We visited Hellwig Products in Visalia, California, last year and it was great to see how they manufacture their products, and exciting to see some new products that they have been working on in the past year. Hellwig is a family owned business that prides itself on customer service and making their products fit the first time, and they are constantly improving processes and doing things in house – from cutting that first piece of metal to powdercoating it and putting it in a box to ship it to you.

Hellwig has been making load control and suspension products for over 65 years, and they’ve branched out to some new areas recently. A couple of new products that caught our attention at SEMA last year were the sway bar kits for UTVs and the Frame FX products for 1968-72 Chevelles.

Frame FX is a new product designed specifically for the early Chevelles to strengthen the frame, and to provide better handling for performance driving and autocross. The response has been incredible, and the kit is much more than just frame reinforcements, it literally gives the frame more meat to prevent torsional twisting during hard cornering. We hear that there are plans to include other body styles in the future, so stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
