Due to the Great Pause, short course races were put on hold. But LOORRS is returning to racing very soon and we have the details.
With the announcement from the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series, things are looking good for a weekend of racing. Short course off-road racing is back on the menu for 2020 as LOORRS comes to Glen Helen Raceway on July 25-26. Furthermore, we’ll be seeing classes like Pro 2, Pro Lite, and UTVs. And you can catch our coverage here at Off Road Xtreme!
However, since LOORRS is taking efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19, this means that the track will prohibit on-site spectating. The only people you will see are media, the drivers, their crew, and family members. There will also be CDC-approved sanitization procedures (face masks, hand sanitizer, etc.), and social distancing will be enforced in all common areas.
While it’s disappointing that fans won’t be able to catch the action in person, any racing is better than none at all. As we stretch into the final half of this gloomy year, many racing events aren’t even attempting to have a season. It’s fortunate that short course off-road racing will see action with LOORRS and we’re proud to bring you coverage of the event so you don’t have to worry about missing a thing.
So stay tuned for our upcoming coverage! And who do you think will make it to the winner’s circle at this event? Let us know in the comments below.
