Currie Enterprises is a name that goes hand in hand with off-road with their axles, axle housings, and their racing. Currie can now add one more item to their off-road arsenal – UTV’s.
On a recent trip to their shop in Corona, California, we got a first glimpse into the all-new product. Ray Currie said, “We are excited about this new venture into the side-by-side market.” Currie has a new sway bar kit for the Polaris RZR 1000 and turbo 1000.
Currie has three different products available for RZR and also look to expand to the Yamaha, Can-Am, and Artic Cat side-by-side lineups as well. Ray said, “The UTV market is very popular in the off-road world, and we are happy to be apart of it now.
The new Currie kits provide RZR owners with a high performance, bolt-in way bar mounting tube, sway bar torsion bar tuned for the RZR vehicle, and billet aluminum arms with adjustable heim jointed sway bar links. Currie has one design for the front, but gives RZR owners options out back.
In the rear of the RZR, owners have the option of utilizing the factory location of the rear sway bar or tying into the rear bumper. Tying into the rear bumper will allow for longer sway bar arms, giving it more of a Trophy Truck sway bar appearance. We were not able to check out this design, the RZR that was testing it was down in Baja getting ready to put some miles on it.
The RZR we saw at the show and when we stopped by Currie’s shop had the rear factory location sway bar kit. This UTV would also be heading down to Baja as well. We are very excited to see Currie jump into the side-by-side market and know that it will only push this sport to new levels.
