The Jeep brand’s yearlong Twelve 4 Twelve promotion continues to celebrate the vehicles, milestones and moments that helped define one of the most recognizable names in automotive history. Now, the eighth installment in the limited-edition series pays tribute to Jeep’s military roots with the debut of the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Sarge, a heritage-inspired special edition that blends authentic wartime design cues with modern capability, comfort and refinement.
Arriving alongside the Wrangler Sarge is the Jeep Gladiator Sarge, extending the same military-inspired styling and off-road-focused equipment to the only open-air pickup truck in the segment. Together, the two models honor the original 1941 Willys MB while demonstrating how Jeep continues to evolve its legendary formula for today’s drivers.

The Latest Chapter In Jeep’s Twelve 4 Twelve Celebration
The Wrangler Sarge marks the eighth release in Jeep’s Twelve 4 Twelve Wrangler series, a special program designed to celebrate the brand’s heritage through a collection of limited-edition vehicles released throughout the year. Previous models in the series have highlighted different chapters of Jeep history, and the Sarge edition serves as perhaps the most direct connection yet to the vehicle that started it all—the military-spec Willys MB that first appeared in 1941.
According to Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf, the new special editions are about much more than nostalgia.
“The Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Sarge limited editions reflect how we honor our Jeep brand heritage, not by looking backward, but by carrying its values forward,” said Broderdorf. “It’s about purposeful design, authentic details and building vehicles meant to be relied on, whether navigating demanding terrain or everyday roads, while staying true to our roots and meeting the expectations of our customers.”
Jeep’s military lineage remains central to the brand’s identity. The company notes that its legacy was forged through vehicles that answered America’s call during World War II before evolving into a symbol of freedom, adventure and capability recognized around the globe.

A Military-Inspired Exterior With Modern Presence
The most recognizable element of the Wrangler Sarge is its distinctive use of Jeep’s now-iconic ’41 Green paint. First introduced in 2020, the olive-drab-inspired color has become one of the most celebrated heritage themes in the Wrangler lineup, directly referencing the appearance of the original WWII-era Willys.
Jeep designers expanded on that theme with numerous exclusive details. A ’41 Green or Bright White grille surround highlights the signature seven-slot grille, while a vintage-style 1941 hood decal and military-inspired star graphics reinforce the vehicle’s historical connection. Bronze tow hooks add a unique visual accent while retaining full off-road functionality.
The heritage theme continues with exclusive 17-inch wheels finished in ’41 Green and wrapped in standard 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires. Steel Rubicon rock rails, body-color fender flares and a matching ’41 Green or white Freedom Top hardtop complete the package.
Available on both two-door and four-door Wrangler Rubicon and Willys trims, the Sarge edition combines these period-inspired touches with the proven off-road capability that has defined the Wrangler for decades.

Heritage Meets Craftsmanship Inside
While the exterior draws inspiration from the battlefield, the interior introduces a more premium interpretation of Jeep’s military heritage.
A new color palette combines Cattle Tan Nappa leather with Drab Green accents throughout the cabin, including the instrument panel surround, center console and door armrests. Hard-wearing Soul Cloth upholstery is used on the seats and mid-instrument panel, creating a blend of durability and comfort suited for both trail use and daily driving.
Mayan Gold contrast stitching appears throughout the cabin, while numerous heritage-inspired details connect the interior to Jeep’s origins. Drivers will find a 1941-themed cup holder plaque, a star medallion shift knob and HVAC graphics featuring Jeep’s iconic seven-slot grille motif. A rear swing-gate plaque further reinforces the vehicle’s connection to the brand’s historic roots.

Gladiator Sarge Brings The Mission To The Pickup Segment
Joining the Wrangler is the Jeep Gladiator Sarge, which carries the same military-inspired styling philosophy into Jeep’s midsize pickup.
Based on Willys and Rubicon trims, the Gladiator Sarge combines its heritage-themed appearance with the capability buyers expect from Jeep’s truck platform. Jeep highlights the Gladiator’s best-in-class approach angle, unsurpassed departure angle, maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds and maximum payload rating of 1,720 pounds.
Like the Wrangler Sarge, the Gladiator edition is intended to honor Jeep’s military beginnings while delivering the utility and performance demanded by modern enthusiasts.

Availability And Pricing
Orders for the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Sarge and Jeep Gladiator Sarge will open later this summer. Jeep says the Wrangler Sarge will carry a starting MSRP premium of just $100 over a comparably equipped Willys or Rubicon model, while the Gladiator Sarge will start at $500 above comparable Willys and Rubicon trims.
