Just when you thought you had your fill of the high-flying action to come out of the Unlimited Off-Road Expo in Louisville, Kentucky this June, along comes this recently released video to bring you even more mud-slinging fun. Titled “MEGA TRUCK RACING UNLIMITED OFFROAD EXPO,” it offers more than seven minutes of lifted pickup trucks and Jeeps hurling themselves over waterlogged soil in the quest for more height and speed.
Enjoy the incredible action and you’ll see a red GMC Yukon that appears to have all the right elements for an event like this. Well over three feet of body lift, paddle tires, and a V8 to match all that attitude had to have made the SUV quite the entertainer.
Things took a turn for the worse, however, as the Yukon propelled itself around a corner and took a tumble. The driver clearly put too many G’s into the turn and, not reacting quickly enough, found himself sitting 90 degrees counterclockwise of where he should have been, as the truck came to rest on the driver’s side.
Tuck and roll gone bad.
Once the thing was pulled out of the way, Buckin’ Productions did a little walkaround of the front, where we get to see just how damaged the fenders, hood, and bumper are. Hopefully the owner wasn’t up on the cost to replace, because no amount of hammering could ever get that steel to look good again.
A different GMC gets punished on the course.
Elsewhere, it appears like another GMC driver got a little too big for his britches and had a breakdown in his driveline. This driver’s also takes a downturn when the red pickup clears the jump and lands hard on the mud. The engine continues to rev, but leaving under its own power isn’t happening–all the more certain once we see plumes of smoke come billowing out from underneath.
