SEMA 2021: B&W Trailer Hitches Offering Stealth Hitches For SUV’s

Over the last few years, B&W Trailer Hitches has introduced some of the coolest towing technology ever. From hideaway balls, gooseneck extensions, and safety features, B&W has been one of the market’s top towing manufacturers. For them to purchase another company and continue its products, that must say something about said products.

Recently, B&W acquired Stealth Hitches, a company that specializes in hitches that are meant to be hidden. I talked with Steve Nance, the actual previous owner of Stealth, as he now works for B&W heading up this entire operation. “These hitches are designed for late-model sedans. We support many different companies including Acura, Audi, BMW, Honda, JEEP, Lexus, Subaru, Volvo,” Nance explained. “The point is to have a hitch that can handle any safe load without being seen.”

As a matter of fact, after talking with Nance, he explained to me that because of its hitch design, manufacturers are reaching out to them because it works better than their factory option. “On some vehicles, if you were to select the towing package, it would deactivate your foot-activated trunk lid opening.” What he means is that one of those high-dollar features that you would love to use is no longer usable because of the location of the hitch design.

The Stealth hitch features a cross beam design and a vertical latching mechanism. Included in this package is a stainless steel latch with integral locks, a four-way connector with a magnetic clip (for easy storage), detachable ball-mount, ball, and wiring harness. If you’re an SUV or sedan person who may pull a small trailer or camper (within specifications), you should really look into this sturdy design.
