The name Drake is fairly well known among those in the musclecar community. The Scott Drake brand is especially well known when it comes to ’64-1/2 to ’73 Mustangs. Drake Automotive Group also offers accessories for new model Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers, and is a leader in automotive restoration and aftermarket parts with more than 10,000 products available.
The company recently decided to leverage that good name and get into offering restoration and styling parts for classic Ford Broncos, Jeep TJs, Jeep JKs, and Toyota Land Cruisers. Marketing manager Mark Mathews took us on a cruise through some of the more popular items Drake Off Road has for these 4×4 vehicles.
Mathews told us, “The Drake fuel doors, hood latches, and shift knobs are some of our best movers when it comes to the Jeep TJ and JK. Everyone who owns one wants to accessorize it, and we have a full line of parts to accommodate them in making their Jeep a personal statement.”
One of our favorites were the Drake quick-release mounts for flashlights and fire extinguishers. And Mathews told us that they are NHRA certified. The company’s classic (’66 to ’77) Bronco market is smaller than that for Jeeps, but none-the-less, they offer a thick, 30+ page catalog of accessories for the collectible 4×4 ranging from door panels to chrome air cleaner assemblies with accurate reproductions of the Ford “289” or “302” decals that were on those original air cleaners. Drake offers all sorts of goodies for the Toyota Land Cruiser as well.
If you own a Jeep TJ or JK, first-gen Bronco, or Toyota Land Cruiser, you should check out what Drake has to offer by going on the company’s website or picking up the phone and calling (800) 999-0289.
