Anyone who owns a vintage truck or 4×4 knows that having a working HVAC (heating-ventilation-air conditioning) system is pretty much a coin toss. In the video above, we interview Rick Love, chairman of Vintage Air, Inc., about its brand-new Gen 4 bolt-in climate control system for the first-generation (1966 to 1977) Ford Bronco. This vehicle is so popular now that Vintage Air is even offering full-steel replacement bodies for the first-gen Ford Bronco.

The new Vintage Air Gen 4 system is full of modern electronic technology with up-to-date controls, and is an in-dash heat-cool-defrost unit that goes into the stock position. It’s ECU controlled and all digital, so you actually have an HVAC system that offers the versatility and performance like you are used to in your late model vehicles.

The company also offers a line of round louvers that can be used with any of its HVAC systems. These louvers can be easily mounted in the dashboards, and are called the Saturn Series for the ring designs in the louvers that are reminiscent of the rings of the planet Saturn. They are made from billet aluminum, look really sharp, and fit right into the style of a vintage vehicle such as the early Ford Bronco.
