SEMA 2013: Lazer Star Lights’ LED Options Turn The Night Into Day

Now celebrating 20 years of manufacturing great lighting products for the aftermarket, Lazer Star Lights is showing no sign of dimming the lamp. Rather, the company came to SEMA 2013 packing its finest to demonstrate just what gives its lamps a leading edge.

IMG_1864Suzi Cusimano, vice president of sales and marketing, was able to lend a hand in interpreting the differences between the many selections the company offered. We were interested in the LX LED division, of which there were three product lines: Discovery, Endeavour and Atlantis, named after the shuttles of the NASA Space Shuttle Program, with which the LX line shares its birth year.

At the high end was the Discovery line, which uses 10W bulbs rated at 1,000 lumens per bulb. These light bars interested us in particular for their unmatched brightness compared with the other two LED lines. Ranging in lengths from 6- to 50-inches, the Discovery line showed great promise for their superior versatility.

Second to that, we saw the Endeavour line, which uses 3W bulbs in a double-row configuration. Each bulb could produce 300 lumens, and came with all the same great benefits as the Discovery line, including the 50,000-hour life rating, polycarbonate lens, and more.

One could use these to great effect on their motorcycle or UTV, and never fear for the ruggedness of the lightbar, as each one, just like its bigger brothers, passes the same testing phase to be IP68 certified and vibration-certified up to 8.6Gs.

All of the light bars manufactured by Lazer Light feature the company’s patent-pending Gen 2 housing, which provides an IP68 rating for zero dust infiltration and submerged usage up to 50 feet underwater, as well as easier installation time and daisy-chaining capability. In addition, all of Lazer Star’s LED products use Cree LEDs for maximum power, longevity and energy efficiency.
