SEMA 2013: Bully Dog Grows Their New Tuner Line-Up

LeadWhen it comes to electronic performance, many new companies have been popping up. If it wasn’t for the recent EPA crack downs, who knows how many more companies we would be seeing entering the marketplace in the coming years. But companies like Bully Dog are leading the charge forward as they introduce their new PMT2 tuner at the SEMA Show.

To stand out in the tuning market place, requires more than just tuning nowadays. Today, you have to really step up the game in the added features department. Companies like Bully Dog have been offering quite a few display options, monitoring of valuable sensor info, read DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), but even that is becoming more common. So, Bully Dog takes it one step further with the PMT2.

Now, not only can you program your vehicle, but it is GPS capable, has a built-in accelerometer and inclinometer, features Bluetooth and WiFi, has backup camera capabilities and can even tell you how to drive to get great mileage. One really cool feature with the 4.3-inch touch screen PMT2, is that it mounts on a pedestal via three magnets. This makes moving it and handling the unit much easier.

ToyotaIn addition to the PMT2, Bully Dog recently announced that their GT-T+ is able to tune ’07-13 Toyota Tundra, ’09-13 Tacoma, ’10-12 4-Runner and ’08-13 (minus 2011) Sequoia.

These tuners are capable of adding up to 95 HP and 85 lb-ft The GT-T+ tuner is also capable of data logging up to three minutes, can change the speed limiter, read and erase diagnostic trouble codes as well as report vehicle performance numbers.

Bully Dog, also, won an award for their PowerSports GT tuner. Currently, the tuner only works for snow mobiles but an ATV version will be out shortly.

In addition to the plethora of different tuners on display, Bully Dog had a number of their intakes on display as well. When we spoke with Adrian Croot from Bully Dog he shared, “We design all of our intake systems to work with our tunes to offer the perfect complement to installing a Bully Dog tuner.” Stay tuned for more Bully Dog updates coming soon!
