For the first time in what feels like forever an all-new Toyota 4Runner has finally found its way to dealerships. This much anticipated 2025 model shares a lot in common with the company’s new 2024 Tacoma midsize pickup and Land Cruiser SUV. Being third in line meant that much of the necessary aftermarket suspension development had already been completed. However, body and interior accessories needed to wait until production vehicles became available.
With deliveries of the first 2025 Toyota 4Runners beginning in February of 2025, we were impressed to find a trio of fully kitted 4Runners at the Overland Expo SoCal event just a month later.
4Runner Lifestyle | 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road
With a company named 4Runner Lifestyle it should come as no surprise that they would be displaying one of the first modified 2025 Toyota 4Runners. This 4Runner TRD Off-Road is fit with a 2.5-inch Readylift SST lift kit. Large 35-inch Yokohama Geolander M/T tires are mounted to 17-inch Nomad Sahara wheels. CBI lower control arm skid plates and full underbody skid plates provide protection while on the trail, while a Prinsu roof rack and rear window molle panels provide ample mounting space for necessary overland hardware. A full complement of LED off-road lights from Diode Dynamics keep the adventure going even after the sun has set.
Prinsu & CBI | 2025 Toyota 4Runner SR5
Parked in the Prinsu booth was this fine specimen of a SR5-grade 4Runner. A Peak Suspension 2.25-inch Summit lift kit, with tubular upper control arms, provides the necessary height to fit 35-inch Toyo Open Country R/T Pro tires. The tires are mounted on 17×8.5-inch Black Rhino Congo wheels. Off-road protection comes from CBI Overland with the 4Runner sporting the company’s rock sliders, steel lower control arm skid plates, and full aluminum underbody skid plates.
On the exterior, the 4Runner wears a CBI Covert front bumper with a Warn recovery winch. CBI ditch light brackets hold Rigid Industries SR-M lights. A Prinsu Pro roof rack mounts the Inspired Overland Carbonlite rooftop tent along with a Rigid Industries 360 Connect light bar on the company’s pod light mount. Prinsu driver and passenger accessory panels along with Ridgeline handles are also utilized. Finishing the build is a RiG’d Supply heavy-duty Ramble Rack and, of course, a CBI rear hatch ladder.
SSW Off-Road Wheels | 2025 Toyota 4Runner SR5
Less is known about this third sixth-generation Toyota 4Runner. Parked in the SSW Off-Road Wheels booth at the Overland Expo SoCal event, this 4Runner sported the typical setup: 35-inch tires, custom wheels, roof rack, and tent. The tires are 35-inch Nitto Ridge Grapplers, which are mounted to SSW Off-Road’s Dakar wheels. A Prinsu roof rack supports an iKamper Skycamp rooftop tent. Graphics from Taco Vinyl finish out the built.
