It is great when a manufacture gives you the keys to one of there brand new vehicles and lets you test it out for the week. Well Toyota was nice enough to hand us the keys to their brand new 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4×4 Off Road.
For the next week we will play with every button, feature, and thing we can figure out to do with the truck. This truck is loaded with everything you can imagine – sunroof, heated seats, four-wheel-drive, a multitude of off-road functions, and even a built in GoPro mount.
Off Road Xtreme will be taking the truck off-road, testing out crawl control, and even see how the truck drives on-road. We will leave nothing to spare. Being packed full of goodies we will have our hands full covering everything, but will have fun seeing what this truck can really do.
The 2016 Tacoma has a Atkinson-cycle 3.5-liter V6 with direct injection. It puts out 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm. The Tacoma also has some great push button features we will take a look at.
