Your truck is your responsibility – as much as you love to use it and abuse it, you love to keep it clean and equipped to take on the elements. That’s where Husky Liners steps in to offer some terrific products that protect the interior and exterior, as well as make it more capable for towing.
Here at the 2016 SEMA Show, these products include the X-Act contour floor liners, the Action Accessory ball mounts, and the Kickback mud flaps. On hand was Dylan Hackmann, who gave us the lowdown on each of these products.
“The X-Act floor liners are available for trucks and SUVs, and are made of a material that is both soft and pliable,” said Hackmann. “The raised ribs in the X-Act floor liners keep your feet out of the mess, and a form-fit edge that traps fluid inside the liner. And with our Stay Put cleats, the liners don’t move around and will even work on vinyl floors.”
Next, we took a look at the Action Accessory ball mounts for towing purposes. “Husky offers two types of ball mounts – fixed and adjustable – that are geared toward the lifted truck market,” said Hackmann. “Our fixed ball mount will go 10 to 18 inches, while the adjustable can go 6 to 14 inches.”
Finally, the mud flaps were an accessory that many a truck owner can get behind. “These are our Kickback-style mud flaps,” said Hackmann. “The mud flaps attach to a bracket with a 1.5-inch offset to pull the mud flap over most of the tire. We make them in 12 or 14-inch-wide versions, so they’re well-suited to oversized off-road tires like all-terrains or mud-terrains.”
Hackmann affirmed that the mud flaps were mostly universal, but Husky Liners did have adapters to make the products fit on Rams with the bulge in the front wheelwells.
Accessories like these are what make trucks more livable and fun to use, knowing they can help keep it clean and capable. Find out more on Husky Liners’ website.
