Optima Batteries has re-teamed with Corry Weller to make the 2014 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) a must-see saga of mud, octane, and high speed. Starting March 22nd, you can expect to see the only female Pro 4 class driver in the league carving her way through the competition, as the LOORRS kicks off at Wild Horse Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.

Weller, Carl Renezeder and Rob MacCachren share the podium at Round 3 of the 2013 LOORS in Las Vegas.
We had a chance to talk with Weller and get her thoughts on how 2014 has been treating her thus far. “First, I raced the first round of the Lucas Oil AZ Regional Series a couple of weeks ago in the No. 18 OPTIMA Batteries Pro 4, and won the Open Pro class!”
“The AZ Regional races are a great place to test and practice in the Pro 4, and I got great seat time on the same track we’ll be at for the first round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series in March.”
Amid such good news, Weller also told us of the upcoming changes to her truck, which are set to include improvements to the front suspension and a completely new brake setup. “Also, since OPTIMA Batteries is our title sponsor this year, we are doing a whole new wrap on our 44-foot race trailer, and a new color and design scheme on my No. 18 Pro 4 as well.”
Giving her the upper hand amidst the mud-flinging fury are Optima’s choice batteries, which you can find stocked at most major auto parts stores across the nation. Their successful YELLOWTOP line is perfect for off-roaders who run multiple electric accessories–lighting, winches, and so on–and need the extra cranking power and cycling capability.
