Today isn’t just another run-of-the-mill Friday; it’s National Jeep 4×4 Day! The observance was created in 2016 by the Jeep brand and takes place annually on April 4. The month and date for National Jeep 4×4 Day were chosen for a reason. You see, 4/4 is a play on 4×4, there are four letters in “Jeep,” and there are four key Jeep brand values—authenticity, freedom, adventure, and passion. Oh, and it also references the four natural elements—water, air, fire, and earth.
A Nod To Jeep’s Heritage
The Jeep brand is a powerhouse in the off-road community, so it makes sense that its name is up in lights. Jeep’s heritage is legendary, from World War II to today, and along the way the brand has left its mark with many notable vehicles. Vintage Jeeps are wildly collectible, and there are even flatfender-only trail runs and events. The Jeep brand has produced some of the most off-road-ready vehicles, including the ultra-capable Rubicon package, which debuted on the Wrangler TJ. Nowadays, the Wrangler JL is the king of the hill, and the breathtaking Wrangler Rubicon 392 is on many wheelers’ wish lists (including ours).
The Most Jeep Obsessed State: Florida, According To Google
The popularity of Jeeps is a fascinating phenomenon. For example, Extreme Terrain analyzed the past year’s Google search volume for terms like “Jeep Wrangler,” “Jeep Mods,” and “off-road Jeeps” to discover which U.S. states and cities are obsessed with all things Jeep. The results are indeed interesting.
Florida had the highest total Jeep-related search volume, making it the most Jeep-obsessed state overall. When it comes to the city with the most Jeep-related searches, Miami takes top honors. Interestingly, Extreme Terrain found that Wyoming ranks the highest per capita for web searches related to terms like “Duck Duck Jeep” and “Jeep Mods.” Finally, Atlanta stood out for accessory interest, leading searches for “Jeep accessories” and “Jeep winch.” It’s also worth noting that ATL also had high search volume for “Jeep wave.” Click HERE for Extreme Terrain’s fascinating, complete report.
National Jeep 4×4 Day Kicks Off A Busy Jeep Month
National Jeep 4×4 Day is a great prelude to April’s jam-packed slate of Jeep-titled events. For example, Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, April 12-20; the 2nd Annual Blue Ridge Jeep Fest in Stewart, Virginia, on April 12; and Jeep Beach in Daytona Beach, Florida, April 18-27. Also, there’s the Blessing of the Jeeps 2025 in Long Beach, Mississippi, on April 12; Jeepin’ for CASA 2025 in Harrison, Arkansas, on April 26; as well as several other Jeep events throughout the month.
How To Celebrate National Jeep 4×4 Day
So, how can you celebrate National Jeep 4×4 Day? Well, you can simply sit and stare at your Jeep and admire its Jeepness, or you could use it as an excuse to take an afternoon off work and hit the trail. Or maybe straighten that skidplate that has been tweaked since your last trail ride. We don’t think there’s a wrong way to celebrate. It’s also National Chicken Cordon Bleu Day, so perhaps hop in your Jeep, drive to a restaurant, order the cordon bleu, and knock out a twofer.
