Today, Jeep announced that its first global battery-electric vehicle is the all-new, fully electric, Wagoneer S. It’s going to be a premium vehicle that will be sold in the U.S. beginning in the fall of 2024. For buyers in Canada, it will be available initially in Quebec and British Columbia in the fall of 2024. Other Canadian provinces and key markets around the world will follow.
The Jeep Wagoneer S Is Fully Electrified
The Wagoneer S is exclusively offered as a BEV, and it brings standard 4xe capability to the table. Alongside all-terrain management, it boasts advanced Jeep brand-focused technology and solid performance. It punches out 600 horsepower, and it offers blazing 0 to 60 mph acceleration in around 3.5 seconds. The exterior design is sleek and driven by aerodynamic efficiency. The SUV features a redesigned LED-lit class-exclusive seven-slot Jeep brand grille that adds a unique touch.
Part of Jeep’s Global Electrification Initiative
The new Wagoneer S plays a role in the Jeep brand’s global electrification initiative. Jeep says this initiative is actively turning 4xe into the new 4×4 as part of the brand’s vision to achieve Zero Emission Freedom. The plan is fully aligned with Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 long-term strategic plan, which sets ambitious net zero carbon emissions targets.
More to Come
Jeep didn’t release many specs on the new Wagoneer S, so we’ll share info when it becomes available. However, the company did release a short video and you can watch it below. We’re also anxiously waiting for information on the smaller Jeep Recon EV to drop. This is going to be a big year for EV fans who are also Jeep fans.
