The new Jeep JT Gladiator has only been on the market for a hot minute and the aftermarket builders have wasted no time building them up. Check out this supercharged Hellcat-powered monster!
Hennessey Performance (HPE) is not known for soft-pedaling, well, anything. For almost 30 years, they have been building and modifying all sorts of late-model vehicles from Hypercars, performance trucks and Jeeps. Their latest design is a 1,000 horsepower Jeep JT Gladiator pick-up. “We wanted to create the ultimate Jeep Gladiator,” said John Hennessey. “Maximus 1000 – the name says exactly what it is: Badassery on four-wheels.”
The 2020 Hennessey Maximus 1000 is no slouch. The truck features a 6.2-liter Supercharged Hellcat V8 engine, 8-speed automatic transmission with an HPE1000 Engine Upgrade to produces 1,000 horsepower and 933 lb-ft of torque. The ECU, wiring harness, radiator and fuel system were all upgrades or replaced to support the fire breathing engine.
The truck features a full stainless steel exhaust, 6-inch lift, 20-inch Hennessey wheels, BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires, bumpers, lights and many more goodies.
But wait, there’s more…
The Maximus 1000 isn’t a one-off vehicle, however. “Our clients want exclusive, extreme vehicles that deliver a fun and exciting driving experience both on and off-road,” said Hennessey. HPE intends to build 24 units over the next year. Each truck comes with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty and is ready to go with a sticker price of $200,000 USD. Production starts July 2019.
What do you think? Is the Hennessey Maximus 1000 the end-all/be-all of JT Gladiators?
