There’s something beautiful brewing for the off-road market, and its name starts with BOLT Lock. The company was at the 2018 SEMA Show, and its biggest draw was a lime green 2018 Wrangler JL, decked out in all kinds of modifications and upgrades. We did a double-take the first time we saw it, and swooped in to find out more.
On hand to speak with us was BOLT’s Jason Buckles. “This build was a partnership between BOLT and David Doetsch of Doetsch Off-Road in Chandler, Arizona,” he said. “The color is Mojito Green and it’s killer, and around the build we have BODYGUARD fenders and bumpers, WARN winch, Rigid Industries lighting, Grid Off-Road wheels, Toyo tires, and of course, all of our BOLT Lock offerings.”
All told, BOLT installed about a dozen of its products onto the Jeep. “We’ve given the Wrangler a lot to work with,” said Buckles. “We have our hood lock, our receiver lock, padlocks, and a cable lock. The cable lock is a six-foot coiled cable that can loop around itself and anything you want secured.”
Another cool product on the vehicle were the Monster swivel hooks, a collaboration between BOLT and Monster Hooks. These were on the Jeep's front and had a special locking pin that held them in place. With the pin attached, the tow hooks were safe from being stolen, and would pop out with the simple twist of a key; in this case, the key to the Wrangler.
BOLT Lock is staying on top of the game and making new products all the time for off-roaders and truck/SUV enthusiasts. Be sure to visit BOLT Lock on its website and Facebook page to stay in the loop on all of their latest developments.
