While the aftermarket performance world is full of contributors, none is known better for its amazing products for LS-based vehicles, like Corvettes, Camaros, Firebirds and modern GTOs, than Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. However, this major player in LS performance isn’t just interested in helping enthusiasts upgrade sport and muscle cars. They also specialize in upgrading LS-based GM trucks, such as the modern Chevy Silverado. Check out two of its amazing supercharger packages below for the famed bowtie truck.
Chevy Silverado 5.3L Edelbrock E-Force TVS2300 Supercharger Package- $10,995
The Edelbrock E-Force TVS2300 supercharger package is built specifically for 2007 to 2013 Silverados with the available 5.3L V-8 engine. From the factory, the 5.3L engine makes around 315hp at 5,200RPM and 335 lb-ft of torque at 4,000RPM (specs from a 2012 5.3L Silverado). With the Edelbrock E Force package, however, the 2012 Silverado made 384rwhp and 390 lb-ft of torque.
To get these amazing results, the Edelbrock supercharger package from Lingenfelter packs quite a punch with its E-Force TVS2300 intercooled supercharger system. To ensure part compatibility, this supercharger is based on the OEM supercharger unit.
Adding even more incentive to the Edelbrock package is Lingenfelter’s 160 thermostat, properly sized fuel injectors, professional installation, testing and calibration, and even a chassis dyno result sheet from before and after the install (available on 2WD only).
Finished off in black powdercoat, the Edelbrock supercharger system will look great under the hood of any color Silverado, while the Lingenfelter CNC engraved logo will proudly display your choice in aftermarket choices.
According to Lingenfelter, this system does not adversely affect highway fuel mileage, nor will it decrease the driveability of any model year. To top it all off, the system comes with an Edelbrock 1/12 warranty on supercharger assembly as well as a Lingenfelter certificate of authenticity.
Silverado/Silverado SS TVS1900 Supercharger Package- $9,995
The TVS1900 Supercharger Package offered by Lingenfelter is specifically designed for 2001-2013 Silverados and Silverado SS models with the 5.3L V8 engine. Featuring a Maguson TVS1900 supercharger system with an Eaton four-lobe, 160-degree twist, high-helix rotor design, and finished in black, this package is plenty hefty to handle the abuse of the modern Silverado, on or off the road.
Backing the supercharger is a drive system with a self-contained synthetic oil lubrication system requiring no maintenance, and a water-to-air supercharger heat exchanger, as well as a coolant reservoir, circulation pump, and an internal bypass valve to reduce loss and efficiency and overall fuel economy.
Also included in this supercharger upgrade package is a cast aluminum intake base and fuel rails, air-to-water intercooler inside the intake manifold, properly sized fuel injectors, a Kenne Bell fuel pump voltage booster, and a 160 thermostat with recalibrated fan temperatures.
Just like with the other supercharger system, professional installation, testing and calibration are included in the package price. So is chassis dyno testing before and after the installation with print-outs. Dyno results from this upgrade on a 5.3L engine revealed a 98rwhp improvement as well as a 93 lb-ft of torque improvement.
In addition to a Lingenfelter certificate of authenticity, the package comes complete with a Lingenfelter 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty on both the supercharger and the 5.3L engine.
As noted by Lingenfelter, this package is not available for California vehicles that are pollution controlled unless package items are listed with an E.O. number.
Similar upgrade packages are available for other LS-based vehicles, including the Chevy Trailblazer SS, Suburban and Avalanche, as well as the Cadillac Escalade.
