This may be the 50th anniversary of the SEMA Show, but in 2017 Weld Racing also celebrates its 50th. Weld Racing was once known for its line of truck wheels and for 2017 they are returning to its roots with its WeldXT line.
Weld Racing is partnering up with SOTA Offroad for the launch of the WeldXT line. Leading the way on the SOTA Offroad side of things is Brock Weld, son of Weld Racing founder Greg Weld. “Over the last several months Weld Racing approached us,” Brock Weld said. “They were willing to do what it took to be successful. They were willing to build a whole new program from the ground up, listen, and most importantly to us was that they trusted us.”

“One of the things that Weld Racing has always done well [is] strive to have the products they make better every year that went by,” Weld said. “That tradition is continued.”
WeldXT will carry four different styles to start: Renegade, Falkata, Slingblade, and the Cheyenne.
The WeldXT wheels are meant for lifted trucks and come in 20, 22, and 24-inch diameter with 12 and 14-inch widths. These wheels as Weld explains it are meant for people looking to go all the way. Some of the details on the wheels are below:
Rim flange options:
- Smooth – No milling at all
- Rivets – Simulated bolt heads milled into the rim flange
- Text – Weld Racing is proudly milled into the rim flange
- Rivets & Text – Weld Racing milled into the rim flange with rivets
- Custom – Weld will mill whatever you specify into the rim flange
Rim finishes:
- Polished – High luster finish that can be maintained for a lifetime
- Brushed – Matte finish of 6061 aluminum
- Black & Milled – Painted gloss black then milled to achieve contrast
- Custom Paint – Choose from 18 different color choices
