Poison Spyder out of Banning, California, has been providing off-road enthusiasts with off-road solutions for nearly two decades now. The company’s latest offering comes to us in the form of some Jeep JK chassis components.
“The first one on display was the Brawler series front bumper,” Dusty Sharp, marketing manager at Poison Spyder said. Sharp explained that the folks at Poison Spyder were there at this year’s SEMA Show to show off some of its prototype front and rear bumper components–looking to gain some feedback before proceeding with production next year.
“We’re showing the Brawler light version, which is a grille-width bumper,” Sharp continued. “It differs from our other Brawler series bumpers, in that we’ve changed some features on it. This new version will have some features we’ve developed using our latest specialized tooling, going beyond what a typical fab-shop can build.”
While Sharp said the aforementioned bumper application is presumed to see some refinements within the next month, enthusiasts can expect to slap one of these rugged bumpers on their JK Jeep as early as Q1 of next year.
“The Brawler Light uses an extremely larger radius on the bend, which is a three-inch bend [in comparison to a typical sharp radius bend]. Functionally, it doesn’t stress the metal as much when you make the bend. We haven’t had a strength issue on the other bumpers with the tighter bends, but rather to add a more fresh appearance. It does have a marginal benefit as to being slightly stronger.
“Our products are fabricated at our facility in Banning, California, using only plate steel, making it truly made in the USA,” Sharp concluded.
Poison Spyder not only sells front bumper applications, but tons of other off-road components and equipment for trucks, SUVs and more. Check out its website here and see what’s available for your application.
