These local off-road racing series give grass-root racers a place to go play. Big name drivers and large race teams do not usually race in series like this, but it gives the average Joe a place to race and be competitive.
People have been racing in Ridgecrest for over a decade, and there is no sign of holding back. The area is most known from the old MDR (Mojave Desert Racing) Ridgecrest 200, a race that has evolved to what this weekends race is.
