Who could have ever imagined that a simple energy drink would become the Red Bull sports and racing empire? It’s a story stranger than fiction in a lot of ways, but the rise of Red Bull has given us seemingly countless hours of entertainment. Whether it be from watching their Formula One and Dakar teams pursue mechanized mayhem, or just the flightless contraptions of the Fluntag plummeting off a faux cliff face, we’re not bored of Red Bull’s endless antics yet.

The latest creation from the energy drink empire is a Land Rover Defender 130, though you wouldn’t know it by looking at it. That’s because it has undergone some major cosmetic surgery in order to look like its apparent hero, the F-117 stealth bomber jet. The end result reminds us more of a botched plastic surgery attempted, however.

To pay for all that cosmetic surgery, the former Land Rover comes with a built-in DJ station that will no doubt power plenty of winged Red Bull events. But while the inspiration may have come from America’s troubled fighter jet program, the actual vehicle was built in Australia. That’s where the big off-road brute was armored up with angular, stealthy body panels and painted in a subdued matte black behind the Red Bull logo.

Red Bull and jets are nothing new, as the energy drink maker has dressed a Russian MiG-17 in its livery. Let’s not forget about the Land Rover beneath all that faux-armor either, as the Defender 130 has long been the standard for adventure vehicles, whether it be for fording the Amazon or crossing the Sahara. It’s one of the most respected off-road vehicles in the history of the automobile.
