Chevrolet is taking the top selling truck of 2015 and adding some special editions for the 2016 models. The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado will now be available in a Midnight Edition and z71 Trail Boss.
Both editions take the styling of the truck to new levels. Each edition is very different from one another and starts to mirror the special editions available for the Silverado.
The Midnight Edition gives the Colorado a stealthy, all black look. The Midnight Edition includes a black exterior, grille, emblems as well as black 18-inch wheels.
This edition will also include a black spray-on bedliner, Chevy doorsill plates, and even a soft folding tonneau cover. The Midnight edition will surely turn heads day or night.
The edition that we are most excited to see is the Z71 Trail Boss. This edition takes the Colorado to a new level, off-road wise, and is packed with new features.
Sport bar with LED trail lighting, 17-inch black painted wheels with 265/65R17 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTarc tires, black three inch round rock steps, spray-on bedliner, and black emblems and flares. Chevrolet even went ahead and added all-weather floor mats with the Z71 logo to keep the interior nice and clean with all the wheeling that will be done with the truck.
We were surprised that they did not include any suspension upgrades on the Z71 Trail Boss edition, so we can only wonder if the suspension upgrades will come if the ZR2 edition comes out. Either way it is nice to see Chevrolet giving some love to the mid-size trucks.
The editions will not be available until later this year on the 2016 models and Chevy also, does not say if the editions will be available on the diesel version of the 2016 Colorado
