If you missed your chance on the last “Rambo Lambo” that was up for sale, you are in luck, as another one has just appeared. It will be heading to the auction block on July 25 with RM Auctions.
This 1988 Lamborghini LM002 is one of only 301 vehicles produced. The LM002 has been a popular Lamborghini in recent years not because of who made it, but because of what the vehicle actually can do. The LM002 was Lamborghini’s attempt into the four-wheel-drive market.
The LM002 has a 444 bhp, 5,167 cc DOHC V-12 engine with six Weber carburetors, five-speed manual transmission, independent front and rear suspension with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers, and four-wheel hydraulic ventilated disc brakes.
Not many of these vehicles make to to the market, and it is even more rare the fact that it is for sale in the United States. Making this one even rarer, if there could be such a thing, is that the auction house has acquired paperwork from the Lamborghini factory on this particular vehicle being originally a U.S. import model done back in 1988.
The Rambo Lambo is not a small vehicle, having a curb weight of 5,720 pounds. Even with its larger than life size it still can complete a 0-60 mph run in 7.7 seconds.
The LM002 would fit right into the off-road truck market with its 8 miles per gallon fuel consumption. This vehicle also has a massive 76 gallon fuel tank.
RM Auctions is estimated that this Lamborghini LM002 will go between $140,000 to $180,000, which is about $100,000 less than the last one that went up for sale in the United States. The auction will take place in the Motor City, where this luxury all-terrain vehicle will go home with one lucky person.
