While scrolling through eBay listings, we came across this “Jurassic” 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ. The only reason why you can call this Jurassic is by the Jurassic Park theme that is apparent as soon as you see the vehicle.
This Jeep is completely the wrong year to be a replica from the original Jurassic Park as well as being rediscovered in the new Jurassic World, as that Jeep was a 1992 Wrangler Sahara.
Granted, the vehicle does look very similar to the movie prop, but it is nothing of the same. They took the idea from the movie and added more to it, almost taking away from the true movie vehicle. The movie vehicle had red wheels; this one has black wheels with larger tires.
The Jeep in the eBay ad just hit 201,000 miles, all which were not running from the T-Rex or Indominus Rex. The stock 2.5-liter four-cylinder ensures you won’t be running from anything anytime soon.
Movie Jeep Compared to eBay Jeep
When driving around Isla Nublar, one thing you would want to have is some air conditioning to keep cool while you are out exploring the island. Well, you’ll have to do without it on this Jeep. The plus side, at least you have the A/C controls inside to remind you what you do not get to use.
The Jeep does come with a couple upgrades that the original one did not have. Such novelties include LED pod lights, a 50-inch single-row LED light bar, custom seats, and an intake kit.
You are probably wondering what the price on this fine piece of forgery is, well make sure you are sitting down when you are reading this. This 1995 Jeep Wrangler is on eBay for $6,000. It is far from perfect and in the Jurassic community, nothing like the original.
There are plenty of other off-road-worthy Jeeps on eBay for the same price if not cheaper, with more suspension and off-road modifications done to them. If you are a fan of the movie series it still may be hard to click “Place Bid” for this. Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
