Looking through the Insurance Auto Auctions website this week, we saw a trend of Jeeps popping up with more and more damage. Then we came across this 1995 Cherokee. We think it looks like it went through a…well…a single axle conversion, if you will.
You can not make this stuff up. This XJ has had its rear axle completely removed from the rear of the vehicle and it is now just sitting in front. The Jeep was designed to hit the trail with its front bumper and winch, prepared for anything except what happened to it.
This Cherokee looks like it was driving up Mount Everest and slipped of the trail and hit every little thing on the way down. The good this is that most of the parts do look like they are there, they are just thrown inside what is left of the cab.
Missing Rear Door
No need to worry about having the rear door getting in your way, or not being able to open it to reach in and get something because it is no longer there. What is left of it appears it may be sitting on the roof.
The rest of the interior looks like a tornado went through it with everything scattered randomly. The Jeep is unable to be tested to see if it starts as the search team is still looking for it on the side of the mountain.
Everything for this Jeep does appear to be with the vehicle, just where is another question. All the side panels are thrown inside and with the Insurance Auto Auctions website stating that the primary damage is “all over” we can only imagine what the damage is to the parts we do not see.
The Jeep is equipped with large mud terrain off road tires to help it get through harsh terrain. The one item that looks like it wasn’t moved during the crash was the Hi-lift jack strapped onto the hood.
It’s safe to assume this 1995 Jeep Cherokee will never see another day on the dirt and that its glory days are behind it. That is, unless the right buyer comes along–would you be the one?
