There’s never a dull moment here at Off Road Xtreme. Week in, week out, we’ve got one or more vehicles jacked up and ready to receive some sweet upgrades. On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of taking a 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited and kitting it out with one of the latest entries into the lift kit arena: the All-Terrain Lift Kit, made by Eibach.
We got our first taste of the kit’s capabilities back in February, following a video posted on the company’s YouTube channel. Shot on the Gold Mountain Trail near Big Bear Lake, California, it depicted a red JKU climbing and clambering over a number of rocky obstacles with ease. We couldn’t help ourselves and had to get one to test out on a stock Jeep, which brings us to the present (and near future).
After some searching, we found an unmodified model that was perfect for our purposes: a 2013 Sport Unlimited, running on stock wheels and tires, with an owner eager to expand her rig’s potential. Our install lasted less than six hours, and would make for a world of difference when all was said and done.
Eibach isn’t in the business of leaving people wanting, and the kit’s contents demonstrated that. The springs, stiffer than stock, would effect an additional 3.5 inches of lift on the Wrangler, as well as improving ride comfort both on-road and off. Working with these would be the Pro-Truck shock absorbers, which featured nitro-coated rods, 46mm pistons, and a durable, silver powder coated finish.
Rounding out the kit were the adjustable sway bar end links, adjustable front track bar, rear track bar location brackets, extended braided steel brake lines, and bumpstop spacers. Lest we forget, Eibach also protects its products with a two-year warranty for the shocks, and a Million-Mile warranty for everything else.
We’ll be coming out soon with the full tech write-up on this kit, but we wanted to give you all a sneak peek while you wait. So sit tight and keep it locked here on Off Road Xtreme, and don’t forget to check out Eibach online and by phone with the provided contact information below.
