WTF? Georgia Man Plows Truck Through His Own House

Most of the time when you turn on the news and a story comes on about a vehicle crashing into a home, it’s an accident. This time, John Paul Jones, Jr., from Senoia, Georgia, pointed his own Chevrolet Silverado at his home and went straight through.

The truck still runs fine after driving through house.

Pickup trucks and home improvements usually go hand in hand, whether it is running down to the local hardware store to pick up materials for your weekend project, or using your oversized motor to pull out a tree stump a Prius could of taken care of.

Hardly ever, if at all, do you use your prized pickup as a wrecking ball to get some air conditioning as John Paul Jones Jr. told police when they showed up to his home. “[The police] said, ‘open a window.’ I told them it wasn’t enough. As you can see, I had a nice breeze,” John stated after the quick improvement job.

Making a quick path from the front yard to the backyard, John also pulled some of his furniture out with him, which ended up getting stuck to his front bumper. Oddly enough, the truck still runs fine and just needed a new light, a plug in one of the tires, and suffered some scratches.

Jones (pictured) was not charged with any crime. Let freedom ring.

The reason behind this crazy event? “I don’t know, it was just one of those spur of the moment crazy things,” said Jones. What makes the story even crazier (if you even thought it could) is that Jones is a contractor and has completed all the repairs himself saying, “I’ve been out of work for the past year and a half. Needed some work. It didn’t pay anything, but hey, it kept me busy.”

It is hard enough to find people that want to take their 4×4 and get it dirty or have anything happen to it, but in this case that was the last thing on his mind. We would not be surprised if a new home improvement style TV show pops up from this incident (at least in Georgia).

The good thing is that all the repairs will be done to the house to the homeowners standards, and that he will not be charged with any crime. That’s because there is no Georgia law stating it is illegal to drive your truck through your home, as long as you own the truck and the home. America wins once again!
