Want to own an already loaded truck with the finishing touches of a top performance shop? Well you are in luck. One of the killer Hennessey Velociraptor is up for sale on eBay, featuring a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 resting inside a 2010 Ford F-150 Raptor.
The Ford F-150 Raptor has had huge success in the off-road world. It is a truck that you can go pick up at your local dealership and drive down to Baja to go prerun, once a few minor upgrades have been made. Ford’s Special Vehicles Team used Fox Racing shocks on this truck and were able to fine-tune every last detail on the suspension. The truck is built to take the abuse thrown at it, and this one is no exception.
For those that do not know who Hennessey Performance is, they are one of the top performance tuning shops in the world. Plain and simple, they make fast vehicles go even faster, as their slogan states. The company has been around since 1991, and was founded by John Hennessey when he took his passion for racing and going fast and brought it to everyone who shared his passion.
Hennessey started by modifying imports such as the Mitsubishi 3000 GT, Toyota Supra and Mazda RX7. He was also brought one of the country’s first Vipers, when the owner was seeking modifications to make it competitive in racing. With over 100 added horsepower, the car was later nicknamed the Hennessey Venom 500 Viper.
Factory Fox Racing Shocks, as well as the supercharged 6.2L V8. Hell yeah!
The rest is history, and the company saw great success and growth. Hennessey is located in Houston, Texas with a state-of-the-art facility including 20 service bays, 16 car lifts, several dynoes, a nearby quarter-mile drag strip, and a 1.4-mile road course for all of their vehicles.
This 2010 Velociraptor comes loaded with factory and aftermarket features. The truck has factory navigation, sunroof, leather seats, four-wheel-drive capability, and an automatic transmission. It comes loaded with extras such as a police radio, sirens, VisionX LED light bars, custom strobe lights, custom front off road bumper, and even plasma-coated KMC beadlock wheels.
The seller is asking $40,000 for the truck. Taking into consideration it does have almost 56,000 miles, we think it’s still a smoking deal for all the modifications it has. You can find similar Ford Raptors on eBay in the same price range with nothing more than a couple coffee stains for a similar price. If you want something loaded with extras and something that will keep you ahead of your competition out in the desert, can you do much better than a Raptor? We leave that to you to decide.
