The Forza series of racing games available exclusively for Microsoft Xbox consoles have been a huge hit ever since their inception in 2005 on the original Xbox. Fast forward 10 years, and Forza Horizon 2 is the latest and greatest next step in the highly successful Forza franchise. Available for the Xbox One, Forza Horizon 2 provides gamers a psudo-simulation racing experience combined with the ability to fully customize their vehicles to their heart’s content.
Released last week on March 26th, were two all-new in-game liveries inspired by real world off-road designs. Just recently, the #15 Ford F150 Trick Truck of Jim Beaver received an all-new livery that was extremely well received by the off-road industry – so much so that it is now featured in Forza Horizon 2. The light blue combined with warm accents lends itself nicely to being very easy on the eyes, especially combined with the in-game styling of the Ford F150 Raptor and the Focus ST.
When asked about the selection process for which vehicles would received the livery in Forza Horizon 2, Beaver commented, “The idea for the vehicles was to take inspiration from my #15 Trick Truck and infuse it into two Ford Performance vehicles. The two vehicles of choice, the Ford Raptor and Ford Focus ST, I have actually owned, and are a ton of fun to drive.” Making the vehicles even more fun to drive in the game, they both received special “tunes” to allow them to dominate their competition both locally at home and against the world online.
The liveries are so detailed and realistic that they even include every partner involved with Beaver’s Trick Truck including; General Tire, Polaris RZR, Rigid Industries, DirtFish, KMC Wheels, Gibson Exhaust, Ford Performance, Royal Purple, MTX Audio, Impact, MSD Performance, Jamar Brakes, Ntensetees, Parker Motor Company, and Empire Destructive.
